Price
The Model S has indeed a premium price, and even though it matches it with superior quality, safety and technology, as well as fuel savings, it is still a luxury car with a relatively higher price. However, the price set by Tesla has been seen as fair when import taxes and transportation costs are taken into account. Through different models and prices, Tesla will underline its holistic approach and its goal to bring quality electric cars to as many consumers as possible, in each stage of their expansion. Over time, Tesla ideally will have built a strong enough reputation that, even though it has premium products with premium prices, it will not be perceived as a snobbish brand, but a quality car that consumers are willing to pay a superior price for because they see the value of it.
A continuous development with the Governmental relationships should also be high on Tesla’s priority list – together with searching for local partners, the pursue for larger subsidies and benefits will allow Tesla to increase the competitiveness on price.
